Welcome!

…Nicole, WOW, Mrs. Lammers, Mama, Matt’s Wife….I answer to many names…

Pick one and consider us introduced!

I graduated from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha, OK in the Spring of 2013 with a BS in Education of the Deaf. Then I went back to school and graduated with a M.Ed. in Reading from Northeastern State University in a virtual ceremony in Spring of 2020. I hold three Oklahoma teaching certifications: Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Elementary, and Reading Specialist.

I am also an Ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. My ministry rarely has me in a pulpit. My heart has a heavy passion to aid in the design and deployment of developmentally appropriate children’s curriculum for biblical literacy and to use my personal experience with domestic violence to develop and deploy a curriculum-based ministry for the enrichment of ministerial education.

Originally this blog followed me for my first year of teaching…Wow – what an AMAZING journey from desk to chalkboard! I spent my first 2 years in Oklahoma’s largest public school district. This experience was incredible. Fast forward a few years and you find my teacher journey has taken a few amazing turns. I have taught in self-contained Deaf Ed for upper elementary, I have been an itinerant teacher of the Deaf for ages 3-5th grade, an ELA teacher for 6th & 3rd grade, a 4th grade teacher, and a Reading Specialist.

Now, the heart of this Blog is to share my life experiences.

From the transition out of teaching full time to being a full time stay at home mother and college student, to teacher and school content, to ministry and domestic violence awareness for minsters, to my heart’s deepest prayers for my precious family. I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction with Evangel University. I am married to the sweetest man, and we are parents through grace to a precocious toddler. Here I will share with you the joys and tears of marriage, parenting, and teaching.
